Hair Helpppp!!!?

My hair is thinning, but its growing from the root at the time ( I have at least 2 inches of new growth) I don't what I should do. Should I cut it? but then everytime I cut it, it grows back the same( thin like its falling out) I want thick, long, beautiful hair, that's healthy, but I really don't know what to do. I tired of cutting it because it seems to grow back worse. Any tips, info, techniques, products to help me out.

Hair Helpppp!!!?

Go to Sally's or your local beauty supply store a ask them for a treatment system for fine or thinning hair. Nutri-Ox System increases microcirculation in the scalp, enhacing blood flow and allowing oxygen to penetrate the follicle. This system is formulated with proteins and nutrients to stimulate and nurture healthy hair growth. Try Nutri-Ox Nutri-Serum , along with the system's shampoo and conditioner.

A single follicle on the human scalp produces approximately .35 millimeters of hair shaft per day. The cycles of growth of each follicle consist of the building up and tearing down of the structure. After a period of rest the follicle is built anew from raw materials and each hair follicle goes through this identical processes as it grows longer and stronger. A high-quality liquid multivitamin supplies the body with the proper amino acids, vitamins and minerals that you may not be receiving in your diet to help create beautiful hair. Extremely poor diets affect our general health and energy levels and makes our fingernails weaker and our hair thinner and far less healthier. Along with stress, toxins in the environment, exposure to the sun, cigarette smoke (actively or passively inhaled), excess alcohol consumption and lack of sleep sometimes makes our bodies work overtime to maintain a standard of marginal health - not optimal.

These factors may lead to a decline in our cosmetic appearance, including our hair, being compromised and weakened. Because we consider our hair to be expendable and not needed to maintain your health, at least our physical health, it tends to be the last part of us to receive attention.

The result is dull, lifeless hair, or even slowed hair growth. Taking proper, daily vitamins and minerals plays a huge role in keeping your hair healthy. Any nutritional deficiencies can lead to thinning hair or even total baldness. It is a well-known fact that an under-active thyroid can result in frizzy or brittle hair while an overactive thyroid turns hair greasy and limp. The goal is proper supplementation and proper nutritional balance. Here is a list of vitamins you can try....

#Vitamin E

#Biotin - Helps produce keratin

# Inositol - Keeps hair follicles healthy at the cellular level. Food sources: Whole grains, brewer's yeast, liver and citrus fruits.

# Niacin (Vitamin B3) - Promotes scalp circulation. Food sources: Brewer's yeast, wheat germ, fish, chicken, turkey and meat.

# Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)

# Vitamin B6 - helps create melanin, which gives hair its color. Food sources: Brewer's yeast, liver, whole grain cereals, vegetables, organ meats and egg yolk.

# Vitamin B12 - Prevents hair loss. Food sources: Chicken, fish, eggs and milk. Daily dose: 2 mg.

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

wash it every day with shampoo. I use shampoo every other day and run conditioner through every day.

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

Yep yep. Washing your hair every day causes the shampoo to strip out natural oils in your hair that make it shiny and healthy.

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

I saw on tv that this stylist was saying to hae a nice healthy hair you should wash it max. 2 times a week.

Kind of nasty thou...

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

Yes. My hair is so coarse and thick I'm able to go a couple of days without washing it. In fact it always looks better the 2nd day anyway. The key is to use lots of conditioner to keep moisture in your hair.

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

Huh? I'm not trying to be funny or anything.. But I wash my hair every two weeks...

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

yep i noe it

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

The trick is in the fact that you can wash your hair eveyday if you want to but do not use shampoo so frequently. Because the chemicals in shampoo will cause your hair to dry out and loose its natural balance.

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

Good advice!

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

Yes, and all that moose, spritzer, hair spray, and curling irons are pretty rough on it too.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Gobble Gobble! Did you ever do anything with that neighbor's blow up turkey- lol!

Ladies, did you know that your hair will stay healthier if you do not?

Yes, unless you have very oily hair, it is recommended that you don't shampoo every day.

Hair help....?

i would say a little bit longer than shoulder length

and try using 'none of your frizz' by Herbal Essences so your curls wont frizz and then use some curl spritzer (i forget the name) to help make your hair curlier. but your hair in butterfly clips (about 3 to 5 sections). let it air dry for about 10 minutes. then use a normal hair dryer on it while the clips are in. take the clips out before its all the way dry and use a diffuser. after it is all the way, use the normal hair dryer again if it is sticking up a little bit. if you want a curly look, but don't want to wear it down, put it up in a bun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU-QUURUg...

don't brush it until you are about to take a shower, it brushes the curls out and makes them frizzy and look bad

I am 18 yrs old and I have scattered grays but I have a thick head of hair, I really like my black h

i really want to dye my hair so it looks all black.

If I were to dye my hair how long do you think I could keep my hair black by dying it till im 30 so it looked like I had 100% black hair. Is it also possible to dye your hair and have it look healthy and thick at the same time....help!

I am 18 yrs old and I have scattered grays but I have a thick head of hair, I really like my black hair and...

In answer to your question, it appears that you still have 12 more years to dye your hair until you are 30. Correct? It is possible to dye your hair and still have it maintain a healthy sheen. It completely depends on the brand of hair color you use. I have tried many color lines and my personal favorite is Redken. Because you have gray hair you will need to buy the DOUBLE FUSION line with a 20 volume developer. This is a great color line because I personally feel that it doesn't compromise the integrity of the hair. Also, make sure to leave this on a full 45 minutes otherwise it can make your gray hair go funny colors like pink or green. These are only available through professional stylists so call around and ask salons which color lines they carry and go to one that uses Redken! Good luck

I am 18 yrs old and I have scattered grays but I have a thick head of hair, I really like my black hair and...

If you dye your hair - it'll be blair until you don't dye it. Products have come a long way and are much gentler on the hair than before. So to have healthy looking hair and dyed is possible.

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

I have very long hair and it is thick and healthy (I take care of it). It is dark brown with a red tint and I usually wear it straight but sometimes wavy. Sorry I haven't got a picture, but which do you think looks best with long hair....straight or wavy?

Thanks!

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

my hair is the exact same as you've described yours! i just wear mine wavy for a few days then change it back to straight next time i wash it. everyone has their own opinion on which looks better, but i prefer wavy. afterall, not everyone has wavy/curly hair so why not use what you've naturally got? :]

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

Definitely long and wavy/curly is the hottest Report It

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

yeah but not everyone has straight hair either, so why not go with what you've got?

haha i think your natural texture is the best because....it's natural. when hair is straightened it looks kind of fake and you can tell it's been straightened. and then waves never stay in straight hair. ugh. Report It

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

In my view of things straight hair is better, short wavey hair is hot

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

STRAIGHT AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT CLEAN AND IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU DO.

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

Either..if your hair is kept healthy, which you say yours is, then I am sure both looks are equally flattering. Both looks have their beauty...it can also depend on your outfit, too.

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

Straight all the flippin dippin way.

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

straight for long hair..

Short hair can go either way

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

just go for what ever mood your in and what looks good with your face and your fashion

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

it depends on wat look ur going for....more professional then id say straight but for a fun look id say wavy

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

It could go either way, but it depends on what look your going for. Straight is what i think.

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

i think wavy long hair looks pretty but a sleek straight look is good too

Does long hair in general look better wavy or straight?

wavy looks better

Bleached my hair a while back. what should i use to repair my hair?

I went in to the salon to get my entire hair bleached platinum blonde a year ago. and that's hard to get for an asian girl like me and to keep it really healthy when it totally killed my hair (made it weak) how can i treat it? when i take a shower, my hair feels frail and bendy.

Bleached my hair a while back. what should i use to repair my hair?

Cut it! If you don't want to lose a lot of hair even a trim will help but I'd advise cutting more if you can. Get a deep conditioner and use it once per week. Don't wash your hair everyday and don't dye it ANY colour for 3 months. Just leave it alone.

Bleached my hair a while back. what should i use to repair my hair?

use Pantene Pro-V. It's great for repairing damaged hair and they even have a line, especially for blonde hair, Blonde Expressions

Bleached my hair a while back. what should i use to repair my hair?

Get it trimmed, and then use Redken's Extreme line of products. It's made for repairing damaged hair and it really works well. Get the shampoo, conditioner, and Anti-Snap leave in treatment. You can get it from any salon. DO NOT use Pantene! Ever!! That is the most damaging product you can use. Getting a clear toner put on at a salon can help too.

Bleached my hair a while back. what should i use to repair my hair?

Try using a conditioner with proteins in it. Matrix has one conditioner that comes in a jar for about $15-20. There are other brands, but don't buy cheep ones. They are cheep for a reason. Also try a conditioning treatment. You can have it done at some salons, or you can buy one at Sally's. It is usually a 2- 3 step treatment. You'll have the right one if it says that as it dried it gets super hard and not to try agitate comb you hair or agitate it until you have washed it out.
