My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

I always had VERY thick long hair. It grows healthy and is very long, but the last 3 years or so more and more has fallen out. I know it's natural for some hair to fall out, but my hair is thin now. Not too thin but as of right now I would say I have 50% of the hair I used to. No exaggeration. Even my family has commented on it.

It's not age, I'm only 25!!

I haven't switched shampoos.

I don't dye it, perm it, or chemical treat it.

I'm not on any new prescriptions.

It falls out in the shower the most then the rest in my brush.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

You might be anemic (low iron level) I was and my hair was falling out really bad. See a doctor, a simple blood test would let you know if that is your problem. Good luck.

You should see a doctor, it could just be woman hair lost but it could also be something else like a wheat allergy or something wrong inside your body. See a doctor and he will be able to direct you to the right coarse of action.

Good luck to you!!

it could be the water you drink or stress of the environment you live in. it could be climate.

or it could be a disease like alopecia.

you should really see a doctor.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

I agree that you should see your doctor, sometimes stress is a big factor, but try not to worry about it too much, I have very fine hair and it falls out when I wash it, then when I brush it, then when I blowdry it, and its yet to disappear completely so don't panic.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

you say your not a any prescriptions... does that include birth control? have you had a child recently? or are you pregnant? hair loss has ALOT to do with hormones. do more research if any of these situations apply.

good luck to you.

My hair is falling out! Is there a special shampoo, or vitamin pill I can take to stop this?

You can use Dr Miracle...It sells in the CVS pharmacy. i have been using it for couple of weeks and i see results already. If that does not work i think you might want to go to the doctor. sometimes we need medical advise. If you are using any chemicals you should give it a rest to see what happens...If your hair is falling out for three years i think you should get medical advise.

Thinning hair that wont grow?

use a clorine removing shampoo %26amp; other product only when u swin %26amp; get a shampoo with gelatin in it it will help ALOTTT

Thinning hair that wont grow?

okay. ..first you need to STOP using regular shampoos and conditioners, i am going thru the same thing-except i damaged mine thru coloring and flat ironing etc. and its pretty thin im trying to let it grow out.... Do not use shampoos and conditioners that have sulfate in them, its a chemical thats bad for ur hair and scalp which almost every over the counter shampoo has.

the only one i found that doesnt have it is, thicker fuller hair shampoo its a green bottle, i buy mine at Rite-aid. it's full of organic, plant extracts and it has biotin in it. No harsh chemicals-its all good stuff for your hair, this helps your hair and scalp and your hair will fall out less etc. you need to start using organic shampoos.

here's the site, this is what i am using.

ok well first of all use a clarifying shampoo to get all the chlorine out of ur hair, then go and get a good hair cut.

once u've done that, start taking vitamin B12 to promote healthy hair growth.

Thinning hair that wont grow?

Try getting your hair braided in weave because braides help her grow and keep hair healthy.

Grow long hair quicker?

what techniques have actually WORKED FOR YOU to make your hair grow quicker and healthier

Grow long hair quicker?

have it trimmed every 6 weeks

Grow long hair quicker?

you should try to get some hair tonic ?

if not then wash your hair everyday .. i think it should work :D

Grow long hair quicker?

Massage your scalp. It stimulates the hair folicles and promotes hair growth. Do this every day. And trim your hair regularly. It grows faster - trust me!

Grow long hair quicker?

Embarking on a quest to make your hair grow quicker is a waste of your time. Your hair is not a tomato plant; you can't buy fertilizer or up the branch trimming to make your hair grow more swiftly.

However, you can make your hair grow (potentially) thicker and definitely healthier. (Yay!)

Be sure to wash your hair once every 3 - 4 days. Oils and dirt that clog your hair follicles will hinder hair growth and produce dull hair.

When you do wash it, massage. Don't rub your head like its a small kitten, place your fingers on your scalp and massage gently. This will increase blood flow, making your hair follicles happy. (Happy follicles = healthy hair).

'Beauty comes from within', so that's right - water! "Oh the cliche!" you say, but with that water - take a multivitamin. Unless you eat fish everyday, this will do wonders for your insides, culminating in a brilliant mane!

Don't use cheap products. That's like using detergent on a $60 000 sports car. Or your hair. Just don't do it, promise?

Good luck!

Here are some homemade tips

Massage the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes after bathing with water. This stimulates the blood circulation and strengthens the hair follicles in the scalp.

Massage the scalp and hair with coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel. Leave it for 闄?hour, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat 3 times a week.

Massage into the scalp and hair honey with egg yolk. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then rinse.Massage almond oil on scalp 2-3 times a day, daily. This will stop further hair loss.

Rinse hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help hair grow

.

Make a shampoo by mixing 100 g each of amla (Indian goose berry), reetha, and shikakai and boil in two liters of water until the liquid reduces to half. Use this shampoo for your hair for at least one month. Your hair will become thick.

Mix equal amount of warm castor and almond oil and massage over scalp at least once a week.

Make a hair pack by mixing amla (Indian goose berry) powder with one egg. Apply it to your hair and leave for half an hour. Wash hair.

Grind lime seeds and black pepper in equal number in some water and apply on the scalp regularly.

Place raw mango pulp in some oil for a year. Massage this oil on the scalp frequently.

Apply a paste of hot olive oil, honey, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder before bath and keep for 15 minutes.

Apply a mixture of Aloe Vera with herbal powder triphala to the hair for a period of three to six months. It will result in growth of new hair.

Apply juice of coriander leaves on the head.

Mix soaked fenugreek seeds (Dana methi), shikakai powder, reetha powder, amla powder, dried lemon or lime peels, and two eggs, and grind to make a paste. Massage this paste onto hair and scalp and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo. This is good for making hair thick. Boil 1-cup mustard oil with 4-tablespoon henna (mehandi) leaves. Filter and bottle. Massage on the scalp regularly.

Make a paste by mixing olive oil, honey and cinnamon (dal chini) powder. Massage on the scalp and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo. Repeat it for 3-4 times a week.

Make a paste by grinding fenugreek seeds with water. Massage on the scalp after oiling the hair and leave it for one hour before washing. Repeat it every morning for a month.

Make a paste by mixing two eggs, two tablespoons each of amla, reetha and shikakai powder. Massage on the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo. Repeat it for 3-4 times a week.

Drink 1 teaspoon cider vinegar mixed in 1 glass of water with meals for 2-3 weeks.

Drink a smoothie of banana, honey, yogurt, and skim milk.

Drink daily a juice of alfalfa + fresh spinach or fresh coriander. Your hair will grow fast.

A mixture of lettuce and spinach juice is good to drink to induce hair growth. The juice of alfalfa mixed with that of carrot, and lettuce juice is also good to take.

Daily application of coconut oil mixed with limejuice on the hair is also beneficial. Applying juice of green coriander leaves on the head is also good.

Washing the hair with a paste of cooked Urad dal (black beans) and fenugreek (methi) 2-3 times a week is also good.

All homemade hair loss tips are natural and the effects are instant.

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.

Grow long hair quicker?

u cnt make ur hair grow quicker.

good maintainance will stop hair from braking and splitting meaning u will have longer hair....this includes combing ur hair correctly from ends to tips when detangling and a really good shampoo and conditioner esp on the ends will help.

Grow long hair quicker?

Most people do not get all the proper nutrients they need that contributes to hair growth from the food they eat, so the best thing to do is incorporate a vitamin, preferably one specifically deisgned for hair. You can try perfectil, GNC Ultra.

you can also visit hair care forums for advice on how to grow and take care of your hair. I just decided in February 2007 to grow my hair out after wearing it short since like forever and visiting these forums have really helped me.

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

i tried loreal 'very rich auburn' as well as 'rick auburn-red' but it didn't show up as MUCH as i'd like. it seems like it turned out with a hint of maroon/purple in it, which is cool and fine, but i'd like my hair to be more of a vibrant red.

thanks.

and i usually use revlon/loreal b/c my hair is pretty strong and healthy and it just fails to absorb color easily =P

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

hmmmm, there are a lot of hair dyes, but usually i would just bleach my hair then dye it makes it more visible. there are called loreal colour rays, my friend tried the red one , and his hair turned very red but then it started fading away since he didnt use any special shampoo.

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

you will have to lighten your hair before you can dye it. so like a bleach first, then dye it. but i think that you should leave it alone. thousands of people dye their hair to be you color. leave it alone!

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

For a vibrant red on black hair you'd probably have to bleach your hair first.

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

its funny that you ask b/c i had my hair black and i mean girl it was black and i tried every hair dye in the world and it still wouldnt come out so i had to stip my hair it burns but its worth it im proud to say im back to my normal hair color and fun hot brunnette thank god! i wish ya the best of luck with that they sell it at any local wal mart so yea stipping kit is wat it is

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

You have to use something that calls itself "intensive" or "true" red. To get a vibrant red with naturally black hair, you may have to bleach a tad. When I first dyed my naturally black hair, it came out a beautiful red, and was very noticeable. I used Dark and Lovely (I find African American products are always more vibrant...and I happen to be African American). In addition to being vibrant, it's a LOT better for your hair, and lasts quite a while. I also recently used Creme of Nature Intensive Red, and, while the extremely vibrant red won't be visible in your bathroom, it is VERY red in sunlight and extremely bright lighting (like in office buildings and schools). I got my stuff at Sally. Hope this helps.

The brands you use just don't work well. I only use them when I'm dyeing my hair brown or something, cause that seems to be the only thing they do well.

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

you need to buy a bleach kit first to pull out the color from your hair.

the best one I've found for my daughter (natural black hair) was from

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

i am a certified cosmetologist.....try chi by farouk excellent product....ammonia free...oh my bad u would have to act like u are a student and go into cosmo prof...formally macon beauty...and get this dye....it is the best of the best...now you can go into a sally and get clairol...they are good also they sorta work like chi...but girl i know this because i am a colorist i do this all the time.....my hair is red yes red candy apple red...........that why u need for me to send you some chi....to get your hair right...thats only if you cant find a good satifaction ....yes u have to bleach your hair out with other product thats why i suggest the chi product because its not quite as harash on your hair as these other products out there all you woul have to do is email me.....

Which RED HAIR DYE is best to show up a lot on NATURAL BLACK HAIR?

I think you need something stronger then the box dyes. I just did mine with Miss Clairol and 40 volume developer. Clairol has something called Clairol Torrids Hi-powered tint that I plan to try next time.

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

why is it that my gynecologist says that it is actually a lot healthier to have pubic hair. She told me that hair keeps the bacteria out. I also tried going bare and noticed that I sweat even more, am more likely to get razor bumps and I noticed that my normal smell was stronger. i am not saying that people who shave their private areas are gross anything, I am just curious as to why the number one reason people say they do it is hygiene and that if you don't you're gross. Other than that, when I didn't shave I didn't have as strong of and odor and did not sweat so much. Someone, please give me an unbiased HONEST answer as to why shaving is more hygienic even if a gyno says its not.

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

its not more hygenic. it just feels and looks better.

the only reason u noticed the sweat is because no hair was there to absorb it. and she is right. the hair does keep bacteria out. its all about personal preference. waxing keeps u from getting bumps and going entirely bare is a preference also. most girls just take most of it off but leave some and keep it maintained.

not a fan of the big bush. lol

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

i won't be able to say it is more hygienic because i have also heard from every doctor i asked that it is less hygienic i can tell you thou that as a shaver i don't do it based on hygienic reasons i do it based on personal preference

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

there is nothing wrong with pubic hair just trim it

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

every gyno i have seen says hair traps the bacteria, doesnt make you gross but traps more bacteria.

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

it's not it's just a personal opinion of what they think is better for them. we have pubic hair for a reason so why take it all off?

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

i do it cause otherwise it gets itchy, and who wants an itchy pussy???

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

I don't think it is hygenic. It's too sensitive to shave there regularly or at least, I am too sensitive, plus I don't like how it looks totally bald.

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

Your pubic hair is there for a number of reasons. To keep you clean, to trap the pheromones, and to identify a part that is for sex (more for pre-modern times). There is nothing gross about looking like an adult woman and not like a child. Just wash yourself and you'll be fine.

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

I think your gyno is wrong.

Its smegma that protects the labial area from pathogenic bacteria....

If Shaving Pubic Hair is soooo Hygienic....?

As its said "moderation in all things", I have to say that maybe both sides of the great pubic hair debate are right.

I have shaved off my pubes for the last 10+ years, and I have absolutely no complaints at all. Back in the days when I used to shave them off twice a year, I initially loved the smoothness, but later (at the 10th day point) totally regretted shaving!!! It does take the skin time to get accustomed to frequent shaving, and now if I don't shave my pubes every 6 days, I feel "dirty".

Now, for those who feel that the pubes serve some purpose, I have to say that in the times that I was "full bushed", that eventhough my pubes were clean (I wash with soap and water), that they had an "after smell". trimming never helped either, and thats what prompted me to shave them all off. Now no smell.

Some years ago at work, a couple of women complained that they had re-occurring yeast infections. When these women were asked of their 'pubic preference", they mentioned that they are full bushed. Now, if the purpose of pubes is to trap bacteria, then wouldn't it stand to reason that these "bacteria traps" are harboring the fungus that's contributing to the yeast infection?

We can not pin point which cultural groups have the higest or lowest incidents of gential problems--solelty based of pube design, as there are other factors to consider. We all can't be all right or all wrong. To each his own, and so is the choice of what we feel is right to do about our pubes.

Hope this helps.
