I have to do this for school and I am wondering......If a teenage girl dyes her hair about twice a month what is going to happen when she is older?Would she go bald?Would her hair be just not healthy and stringy? So my question is Why shouldn't teenage girls dye their hair so much?!? or another question why teenage girl DO dye their hair so much?!? And please don't tell me to go to "ASK JEEVES" cause I have already tried....And dont tell me to go to "GOOGLE" because again i have tried and NOTHING!!!
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
bying ur hair too much just damages ur hair such as making it all dried out and stuff. but i don't think ull go bald..
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
your hair wont be healthy. it will start to break easily and you'll have lots of split ends.. every 4-6 weeks is ok, dye is ok, but bleach is bad on your hair
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
ASK JEEVES, OR GOOGLE, I'M JUST KIDDING LOL. THE MORE YOU COLOR YOUR HAIR, THE MORE YOU RUIN IT. I USE TO, AND NAME MY HAIR IS PRETTY HEALTHY, B/C I HAVE STOPPED COLORING IT.
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
I don't think even GROWN woman should dye their hair that much. Most boxes suggest about 6 weeks between dye jobs. Many products contain ingredients that can weaken the hair follicles if used too often/much.
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?

Fine. Go to YAHOO! Dying your hair in general is bad for it. Those types of chemicals aren't exactly nice for you. It can cause hair damage if not done correctly... duh. And what do you mean you haven't found any results online? Learn to do a better search.... sheesh... it's not like it's applicable ONLY to teenage girls. Anyone who dyes their hair has to take precautions! So... get it done by a professional if you have to dye your hair.
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
This doesn't apply just to teenagers- it's for anyone. If you use peroxide to dye your hair it's very harmful to your hair. I once knew a girl that dyed her hair so much that she had to shave her head and start over because her hair was destroyed.
And, I'd say teen girls dye their hair lots because they like change... that's an over generalization, though.
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
dying ur hair alot makes it dry and unhealthy...when u dy it you thought its pretty but then it turns out ugly....teenage girls dy it because they r girly and flirty
it cause split ends
Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
I have known women who do develop bald spots from using hair color for too many years, but I believe those bald spots are from broken hair; and if the person stops dying her hair it may re-grow in the bald spots. The women I know who have had this are usually women over 50, who have been using hair color to color their gray for, say, over six or seven years.
Even if the baldness is not permanent, what it could mean for the girl who begins using hair color in her teens would be developing severe broken hair and bald spots in her twenties. Few young women want that type of thing to occur in their twenties.
Although hair color is generally said to be safe, there is no guarantee that there are not health consequences associated with using hair dye too often. Since the teenager girl is not yet finished with growing it would seem to make sense that she could be at higher risk of any problems caused by use of hair dye, either because she is not completely finished growing (the teenage brain is not finished developing) or because beginning hair dying in one's teens could mean more years of using hair coloring products over the long term.
Most natural hair on young people/teenagers is healthy. One of the more attractive characteristics of natural and healthy hair is its shine. It is understood that in the animal kingdom one sign of good health (and something that attracts a mate) is a shiny coat. I have read that although humans are not animals there is biological hard-wiring related to what is seen as attractive, and men often find someone who shows signs of being youthful and healthy as attractive. In other words, while a nice coloring job on hair may make the hair a more attractive color there is at least the chance that on a biological-hard-wiring level shiny and healthy hair may actually be more likely to be seen as attractive.
Short term, hair color can make a mess of healthy hair. Sometimes it just takes one coloring to cause damage, although damage is more likely to occur if the girl uses coloring repeatedly. It can also be expensive. It also requires special shampoos, conditioners, and in-between-coloring touch-ups if it is going to look its best. Natural hair color (particularly on teenager girls) can be kept healthy and shiny often with nothing more than a shampoo and occasional few drops of conditioner.
I don't know if twice-a-month hair coloring could cause any damage to hair folicles to the point where the hair could be permanently damaged. My concern (and the concern of many others) would more be the possible health effects that could occur from having the chemicals in hair dye seep into the skin on the head for a period of years.
--------------------------------------...
A link has apparently been made between women dying their hair for over 20 years and bladder cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. Also, research has been done on whether black hair dye could have a connection to brain cancer/tumors (but the results were inconclusive)
Apparently, a connection has been made between hair dye and adult leukemia.
If you do searches such as "risks associated with hair dye" or "hair dye and health risks" or "dangers of hair dye" you should come up with some more stuff.
Everything I wrote above the line is just my answer. What I wrote below the line I got from the sources I show below.

Why Shouldn't Teenage girls dye their hair so much?
well i'm only ten years old and in the future when i am allowed to dye my hair i am NOT!! going to until i get like fifty and then dye all the gray spots but anyway, i don't think people should dye thier hair because God made you and ur hair for a reason which is to be different fromm eachother and the reason y people do dye their hair is probably because its either the fasion or they just want something different and plus it makes ur roots look TERRIBLE!!!! so thats y i think teenage girls should NOT dye their hair so much or at all!!!!!!!
