Hair Professionals and Rogaine users please?

I have a 14 year old african american male cousin. He has frontal baldness and i know exactly why. He has had years of bad hair cuts. I say this because if a barber screws up on shaping up the hairline they have to create a knew one by taking the hairline back a couple inches and babrber after barber screwed up on his hairline and now his harline is very receaded. I dont see the bald areas growing back and niether does he. I know for a fact its not genetics because his brothers, his father, his male cousins, pretty much the males on both sides of the family dont have receding hairlines only the extremely old males have baldness but there hairline isnt receding. It cant be because of his diet because his mother is a fitness trainer and nutrisionist( i luv my auntie lol) who keeps them on a healthy diet. We tried putting hair greese on the area but it only grew back in certain area

is there any hair greeses or gels we can aplly to the area? Would rogaine help? any suggestions?

DO NOT use rogaine once you start using rogaine you have to continue using it or you will lose everything that you gain! You can use Nioxin the shampoo and conditioner... Its a lined designed for fine and thining hair it promotes hair growth and helps keep what you have... Im sorry to hear he had a bad barber we arent all bad you just have to find one you like and stick with them because everyone cuts hair differently! I would wait it out and see if it starts to grow back or just have the barber skip over the hairline till some hair starts to grow back! if he starts balding in patches he may have alopecia but it doesnt sound like he has anything on the order of that at this point! He's 14 Im sure his hair will grow back eventually... Everyones hair grows back at different rates... The best thing I can tell you right now is to wait it out!

I'm trying to figure out how haircuts could possibly stop hair from ever growing again. That makes no sense-- I don't care how many bad haircuts he's had where they take his hairline back-- the hair wouldn't cease to grow from that. You're barking up the wrong tree. Pretty stupid too. Report It
