Over the years my hair has suffered from neglect (sporatic treatments, breakage and some thinning on the side). I am trying to set a regular schedule for my hair and I need to know exactly how often should I perm my hair, If it's healthy to use a home perm kit and how often should I wash it after treatments. Currently my schedule is as follow: Treatment when ever new growth comes in and wash it whenever I have time.

Your perm should be touched up every 4-6 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. and wash/condition your hair at least once a week. You can start off with a mild relaxer or kiddie relaxer if you want.

I think the home kit is ok as long as you do it properly although I've heard people saying that the salon one ia better is according to how your hair reacts to it!Wash your hair 2 times a week .Cause it helps your pores breath and it makes your hair less dry !Before i used to wash my hair once a week but it made my hair dry and it was breaking more when i started washing it twice every Tuesday and Saturday or whenever i could(just make sure it's washed every 3-4 days) my hair was breaking less !You can treat ur hair every 2 weeks or every weak if your hair breaks a lot!if you have more questions you can mail me from my profile page!Good luck!!

ok well i wait til my root are in hardcore i wait two months but my hair dreeser said to come in sooner casu eit could break if i wait so long but im still going to wait two months but i would do the next realxer when you can comb your hair and i would not recommend at home kits not good well only if you now what your doing
