Wha product can I use for thick hair that dries quickly and doesn't stay together?

I have long hair, about a foot from my chin, and it is natually brunette, if that at all matters. I use VO5 shampoo almost everyday and then after that, while its still wet I put some Pantene ProV conditioner and leave it in. This stuff is amazing, it makes my hair soo soft and strong..anyways..After like 15 minutes my hair starts to dry out and it startd turning more of a blondish color, and it startd getting really "airy," meaning it doesn't stay together at all. It is all over the place and is kindof poofy. I dont want to get it cut any shorter, and I am not going to get it thinned out. I forgot to mention that my hair is naturally pretty thick and very healthy, not oily, and thin and stuff. So is there a miracle product out there that I can put in my hair, probably some kind of leave-in stuff. I also do not use any kind of hair spray, I used to but my hair is soo much healthier now I dont. Thank you so much and God bless!

i have the same problem...my hair is like a big puff ball when i get out of the shower and my hair is black/straight and what i do is put mayonaise in my hair (everywhere on your hair) and then put a shower cap on top of the mayo and hair and leave it in for about 15 min. and wash it off and shampoo and condition regulary and when you dry your hair your hair will be very easy to handle and makes it less poofy and dry. try it! works really well.

Matrix Curl Life Contouring Cream is amazing.

A little goes a long way and it's brand name which explains the fairly steep price, but it's not painfully expensive or anything. It won't make your hair crunchy, but it'll keep things in line.
